Dear Church Family,
We are so excited to be able to resume “almost normal” church this Sunday!
Praise God!
As you will be aware, last weekend the government significantly eased restrictions which allows us to resume church in greater numbers. There are however some COVID-Safe requirements we must comply with, including the limits on socially distanced numbers of people permitted to gather.
Considering this, Church Council has decided to divide the church into 2 groups – those with surnames starting A-K and those with surnames starting L-Z.
· A-K are invited to attend church starting this week 29th November – and attend alternate Sundays thereafter.
· L-Z are invited to attend church starting the week after on 6th December – and attend alternate Sundays thereafter.
Please stay tuned for more information regarding Christmas Day as plans have not yet been finalized for this day.
If you would like to swap to another week, you may – but you must make your own swap arrangements on a 1:1 basis – and you must be extra vigilant that we remain within our capacity limit. This is your responsibility! Please notify the check-in Elder on arrival if you have made a swap with another person.
What to expect when you come to church (and it would be wise to come a little earlier than usual.):
When you arrive at church – please line-up outside the front door – socially distanced from others
You will be ‘checked in’ by an Elder
You will then be asked to sanitize your hands before being ushered to a seat in the auditorium
Families from one household will be seated together
All others must maintain seating distances of 1.5 metres apart
Parents please note - Sunday School and Creche are not yet operational so please bring activities for your children, or an iPad with headphones so they can check-in with Lanolin and Aloe at Sunday School online.
You are required to bring and wear a mask while attending church, including while singing, unless you have a medical exemption
After church you will be directed to exit row by row
At this stage we are not in a position to offer coffee after church, but you can invite someone home for a cuppa, or meet up for coffee up the street somewhere! Woohoo!
Live-streaming of church services will continue for everyone at home, and with larger gatherings in homes now permitted we really encourage you to re-commence your Connect Group gatherings in person. It is also a great idea to join with others to watch the live-stream church service.
We’re really looking forward to the blessing of being able to worship our God together as a community in the coming Sundays! See you soon!
